In repentance for all the times you've ordered take away and slumped on the couch feeling like the worst, you can now do the exact same thing while feeling like the best. On Friday 15 July Uber is teaming up with buy-one give-one initiative Eat My Lunch and instigators of 'The Great Chocolate Milk Shortage of 2014', Lewis Road Creamery, to design and deliver gourmet ice cream.

In just one year of operation Eat My Lunch has donated upwards of 180,000 lunches to children who can't afford their own. As well as being in the thick of an expansion south, EML are currently pushing a crowdfunding campaign to double their output and help reduce child poverty.

Lewis Road's brand new ice cream flavour will be unveiled and made available exclusively via Uber this Friday. To receive your own tub of glory all you have to do is jump on the app between 11am and 5pm, thumb over to the ICE CREAM option and hit request. For every completed order, Uber will give a hungry kid who is part of the Eat My Lunch program that same tub with their lunch.

#UberIceCream is available in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch CBD's and inner suburbs. Check on the app to see if there is a car in your neighbourhood.
