This Art-Inspired High Tea Offers Drip-Painted Macarons and Free Champagne
Luxury hotel brand InterContinental has partnered with artist Alexander Hall for the month-long offering.
InterContinental Hotels and Resorts is putting on something a little bit special this May, giving you time to celebrate your mum, your sister and your best friends too. To celebrate reaching the milestone of 200 properties around the globe, the luxury hotel brand has partnered with contemporary mixed-media artist Alexander Hall (or Haut de Gamme).
So, what does this mean for you? Well, for the whole month of May every InterContinental in New Zealand and Australia will be offering a special art-inspired high tea complete with complimentary bubbles. Whether you're wanting to dash away from work for the afternoon, take your ma out for Mother's Day or take the gang out for a birthday knees-up — you know you'll have a great (and sophisticated) time with some free champers.
Here in the capital, the InterContinental is offering a high tea that'll make you salivate just reading about it. Held in The Chameleon Restaurant right beside the hotel on Wellington's waterfront, the offerings are deliciously luxurious. Imagine yourself eating the finest drip-painted macarons embellished with Haut de Gamme's signature artistry. Infused with Champagne jelly, yet rich with buttercream, you'll barely have room for the complimentary bubbles.
For something a little different, maybe something a bit more upmarket, or perhaps just a real token of appreciation this May — invite your gal pals, best mates, boyfriends or the entire netball team along for a few art-inspired macarons and a glass of the finest champers in Wellington.
InterContinental's Haut de Gamme high tea is available from 1–31 May 2019. For more information and to make a booking, visit ihg.com.
