Overview
All natural perfume brand Abel now has a bricks and mortar store in New Zealand's capital city, allowing customers to try out the brand's wide range of ethical, planet- and animal-friendly scents.
Winemaker turned perfume maker, Frances Shoemack discovered a need for the concept during a search to find a perfume made from all natural ingredients. There seemed to be a wide range of natural skincare and makeup on the market, but nothing in the way of fragrance — and so Abel was born.
The full range is now available at Abel's Wellington store, Abel Fabriek. The store, which has been converted from a bakery, functions as both a retail store and a perfumery, where customers can see how their next fragrance is being made. Shoppers will be guided by the Abel Fabriek team, who will help them figure out which perfume is right for them.
All of Abel's perfumes are made from natural, plant-based ingredients, and are all cruelty-free and vegan. The range includes scents like black anis — a vibrant, smoky perfume; cyan nori which has a sweet and salty musk; green cedar, a rich woody smell; and pink iris, a classic floral number.
