Overview

Open every day, Shantytown is a window into the gold-fever past of the West Coast. Over 30 historic buildings faithfully recreate the 19th-century pioneer town. Ride the steam train, go gold panning, visit the Beehive Store with its range of traditional confectionery, experience the sights and sounds of a working sawmill and watch the mighty sluice gun in action.
