Attention Geminis: Jetstar NZ Is Giving Away Free Flights to Everyone Who Shares Its Birthday

If your birthday is coming up this weekend, you now have even more of a reason to celebrate. Friday, June 10 marks Jetstar's New Zealand birthday, but the generous devils are the ones giving away the prezzies.

Every New Zealander that shares Jetstar's birthday (that's June 10 exactly — no trying to sneak in June 11 babies) can score themselves a $100 flight voucher this week.

That's right — being a Gemini has finally paid off. If you're one of the lucky 'birthday buddies', you've got 24 hours from midnight tomorrow to grab your voucher. And yes, you have to upload some form of ID. This isn't like all the times dad faked it was your birthday to get your meal free at Cobb & Co.

Even if it's not your birthday, you can still score yourself some pretty cheap airfares. The airline's annual four-day birthday sale starts today, with domestic fares as low as $24 and international fares starting from $125. So yeah, you could be flying to Sydney or Raro for less than it costs to fill your car up with petrol. Sixty thousand discounted seats will be available from midnight June 9, with cheap-as-chips fares including Auckland to Queenstown from $50, Auckland to Melbourne from $139 and Wellington to Gold Coast from $129.

Jetstar's birthday giveaway will go live at 12.01am Friday, 10 June and will end at midnight that day. The nationwide Birthday Sale runs for four days, starting at 12.01am Thursday, 9 June and ending at 11.59pm Sunday, 12 June.
