Overview
It has been called the most stylish event of winter, where fine Champagne flows like water and outfits are matched to a bright shade of 'Clicquot Yellow'. Annual Champagne festival Clicquot in the Snow is set to make its return to Queenstown this August. Held in and around the picturesque lakeside village from August 1–4, this year's program will deliver four days of cork-popping experiences inspired by the French Champagne house.
For the first time, husky dog-sledding will join the program. Guests will take control of sled dogs, or ride with an experienced musher, through the trails of Snow Farm. The experience will include a Champagne picnic in the snow-capped Pisa Range. Elsewhere, the festival offers a stargazing experience and gondola rides to Queenstown's Bob's Peak.
The annual runway show is a major drawcard of the festival. This year, footwear designer Kathryn Wilson's spring/summer 19 collection will be shown at Jack's Point Clubhouse ahead of its release.
The après ski scene will once again be celebrated up at Coronet Peak where guests can unwind with a glass of Champers after an active day on the slopes, and the Long Lunch will see chef Josh Emett create a four-course degustation at Rata.
Clicquot in the Snow will run from Thursday, 1 August until Sunday, 4 August, 2019.
