The capital is coming to Auckland.

Overview

Wellingtonians are a proud bunch. Look no further than their reputation and achievements in the creative industries such as the arts, film and music to see the reason for it. But dig a little deeper and look past the Wellywood sign, and you will also see greener pastures of the culinary kind. And not just plain old food, but all forms of concoctions in caffeine, liquor, soda, chocolate, desserts, meat and veges, you name it.

The city has a long list of overachievers in cool, hip eateries and producers of unique dining experiences. No wonder it's an ultimate foodie's destination, especially when their city has everything within a stone's throw - an envious geographic layout that makes treating your taste buds less of a chore and more of a treat.

Positively Wellington Tourism have capitalised on this strength in their taste bud tourism campaign called #TheCapital. If you got it, flaunt it. Or sautée it maybe? Why not. Especially if Concrete Playground readers get to reap the benefits.
