Overview

Facial hair and meat— the time-honoured symbols of quintessential masculinity. Speaking to that primal, hunter-gatherer mentality, these two things when paired become manlier than a lumberjack on a tractor drinking single malt. In appropriate fashion, Miss Moonshine's (a restaurant known for its meat wizardry) has created Meatvember, in conjunction with Movember, as a way to raise awareness for men's mental health.

On November 3 from 6pm Miss Moonshine's will host a charity dinner in their Ponsonby restaurant, designed to bring all kinds of mo-touting carnivores together, while raising awareness and funds for a very important social issue. Tickets are $150 each, and with a drink ready on arrival, it promises to be an indulgent evening full of bravado, hairy stories and lots of laughs in the name of a good cause. Whether you're a man with a mo or without a mo, or if you're a mo-loving lady, the issue of mental health in males has never been a more important discussion. Come for the honest conversation, for the delicious food, and to get amongst the true meaning of Movember: mos, meat, and mental illness.
