Overview

Strolls around the city have been much brighter in recent weeks, all thanks to the addition of some unexpected blooms. The CBD's grey, concrete streets have had a makeover as a part of the City of Sydney's seven-week 'Living Colour' floral display project. But as we leave the warmer weather behind, these flowers need a new home. And you can help out.

This Sunday from 8am, St Mary's Cathedral will be the spot to snag some cut-price botanical beauties. For just a gold coin donation, you'll be able to take home everything from petunias to purple sage. Best of all, all funds raised will be heading directly to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (giving those living with and affected by HIV a much-needed helping hand).

Add some colour to your own space and feel good about it too. Who could resist adopting these little blooms that've seen it all?
