Overview

The John Butler Trio is jumping across the ditch for a one-off show at the Powerstation.

The band's namesake, John Butler, was famously discovered busking on the street in 1996 with his style that falls somewhere between roots, reggae and rock genres. He has also established himself as an activist for indigenous rights and a supporter of environmental causes and also founded The Seed Fund, which offers grants to up-and-coming musicians and artists.

The short visit will support the release of the band's sixth studio album Flesh and Blood, due to drop in early 2014. The album was recorded in 20 days at their Fremantle-based studio. Watch the cheerful zombie performance video for first single "Only One".
