Overview
Discovering Form is an outdoor sculpture exhibition set in the lush grounds of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple, offering a uniquely Zen art viewing experience.
Running as part of the Auckland’s Arts Festival Out East, the trail features works by seventeen New Zealand sculptors. The works are designed to enhance the atmosphere of peace and serenity provided by their setting and each of the 22 works were chosen for their specific relationship to the site.
The trail encourages visitors to explore the contemplative corners of the courtyard and surrounding gardens and acts as a meditation on the relationship between art and nature.
Discovering Form is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, 9am-5pm. Entry is free and all works are for sale. Click here for further information.
