Overview

Sail your way to Waiheke this March-end for the Waiheke Vintage Festival. The island of wine is hosting a bunch of festivities at vineyards across the island, set to wind up summer in style with a hands-on celebration of its annual grape harvest.

Events run all day every day throughout the nine-day showcase of Waiheke’s artisan winemakers. A handful of vineyards are offering wine-making tour and tasting combos from $10 - $20 (depending on how many swigs you're after), while others invite you to long lunches and even dinner at the opera. Why not start with a champagne breakfast at Peacock Sky Vineyard ($18 pp), then stroll for free through Poderi Crisci’s Sculpture in the Vines. Get amongst the grapes at Kennedy Point Vineyard for the Grape Harvest and Foot Stomp, and get the half-case of wine you’ve toiled over delivered to you 6 months later ($175 for up to three people).
