Katy Perry
A five act show covering themes from ancient civilization to cats.
Overview
Christmas will come early for fans of Katy Perry's bubble-gum pop, as she plans to set up shop inside Auckland's Vector Arena on December 19 and 20, 2014.
The shows are part of Perry's Prismatic World Tour, supporting her fourth studio album Prism, which is noted as being "darker" than her previous releases. It made its debut at number one in New Zealand, spending 29 weeks on the charts, and spurred singles ‘Roar’ which topped the NZ singles chart for 11 consecutive weeks, plus the double-platinum ‘Dark Horse’.
The tour began in May in Belfast, Ireland and will play out 100+ times through three continents before landing in New Zealand. The show is presented in five acts covering themes from ancient civilization to cats, which all appear on a multi-angle stage allowing Perry to get up close and personal with the audience.
Opening for Perry at the New Zealand shows is Swedish singer/songwriter Tove Lo.
