Overview

Napier post-rock Jakob will break an eight-year silence with a nationwide tour. After putting the project on the back burner because of an injury, the band have finally released the follow-up to their 2006 album Solace.

In true Jakob form, Sines, showcases their dynamic flair through a thunderous wall of sound and subtle sonic shifts. It was recorded between Auckland’s Roundhead Studios and Sister Lung Studios in Napier, with engineers Jono Gardner and Nick Blow.

Having already blown out the cobwebs with shows in their hometown, Wellington, Christchurch and Port Chalmers, the band will bring their tour to a close at the Leigh Sawmil on Saturday 15 November.
