Overview

Her Twitter bio reads "I was sent to earth by accident", which is a little incredulous for an eight-time World Hip-Hop Dance Champion who's choreographed for Jennifer Lopez, Cirque du Soleil, starred in Step Up, and runs her own dance studio.

Goebel started her first dance crew, ReQuest, in her Aunt's garage when she was 15. In 2012, Jennifer Lopez saw a clip Parris had put on YouTube and asked her to choreograph for her. That, Parris told Stuff, was inspiring. "I really like her. She just works so hard, and it's really cool to be around an older woman who is successful and doesn't settle for anything less. She just keeps pushing."

After choreographing J-Lo's Dance Again World Tour, Goebel danced with the singer in American Idol's season eleven finale as well as starring, with ReQuest, in Lopez' music video 'Goin' In'. Since then she choreographed the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson tribute show, One, and starred in the latest of the Step Up series, Step Up: All In, as Violet - the New Zealand exchange student.

Moonchild is Goebel's latest dance project which forms a part of the Southside Arts Festival.
