Britomart Christmas Market Day

If you haven't started your Christmas shopping yet, don't panic. The Britomart Christmas Market Day is nearly upon us. Bring the kids, soak up some festive atmosphere Britomart-style and get some shopping under your belt.

There will be festive goodies like Christmas cookies and cakes and handmade artisan foods such as preserves, chutneys, dukkah, deli goods and sweet treats which make great gifts. The City Farmers’ Market will also be open as usual from 8.30am to 12.30pm, with an array of fresh local produce – including new season strawberries, plums and asparagus.

The monthly Art & Design market in association with Ministry of Art and Design also takes place that day from 10am till 2.30pm inside the Atrium on Takutai Square. Featuring work by many of Auckland’s up-and-coming artists and designers, it’s a great place to find some unique gifts. For the kids, there’ll be face painting, Christmas cookies, kids’ yoga, helium balloons and Santa Claus himself might even make an appearance.
