Snake Bite Brewery in Franz Josef is the lovechild of Mark, Billy and Adam, three mates who had been living in the town for a decade and realised they had a shared passion for craft beer. So, the guys opened Snake Bite alongside a restaurant serving Southeast Asia-meets-New Zealand eats. The team celebrates New Zealand brewers with beers on tap and a range of guest bottled beers, plus they have an entire menu of snakebites (half lager, half cider) — because you can't have a name like that without doing it proud.
