Overview

For one night only, experience Michelin-star cuisine at one of Auckland's finest restaurants. On October 8, Huami will play host to Australian-born chef, restaurateur and writer David Thompson. Known for his expertise and skill in Thai cuisine, Chef Thompson lived in Thailand for more than 30 years and is also fluent in the language.

In 2001, Thompson made international headlines when his restaurant Nahm, based in London, was the first Thai restaurant in the world to be awarded a Michelin star. Following on from this, Thompson then opened Nahm in Bangkok, which was listed as Asia's third-best restaurant in 2013, and one of the top 50 restaurants in the world.

He then left this brand to start a new venture, Aylmer Aahar, designed to explore, promote and preserve Thai gastronomy. This serves as the inspiration for this one-night-only experience. With several Thai chefs on staff; Huami restaurant is the perfect choice to recreate an authentic taste of Aaharn. Tickets include snacks, a five-course sharing-style menu and matching wines. Expect the full spectrum of Thai flavours and dishes, from vibrant salads to piquant soups and rich curries.

Get in quick to experience one of the world's true culinary legends as he takes over Huami for one night only.
