Overview

Taste of Auckland is coming back around for a three-day festival for all things food, wine and deliciousness. Kicking off on Thursday, November 5 and running until Sunday, November 8, the event will be a belly-filling end of the week for all the culinary indulged. Taste of Auckland is the best place to trial some of the new food and beverage trends for the upcoming summer season as well as pick up some tips for your own kitchen notebook.

This year, the country's largest food festival will set up in Western Springs Park, allowing for plenty of room for the surplus of pop-up stalls that will be in attendance.

A handful of restaurants all vowing for the prestigious Best Dish award (and if I’m honest some of my favourite restaurants in town) include: Miss Clawdy with their southern American-styled menu, Ponsonby favourite Farina with their Italian influence, and Al Brown's Federal Street institution Depot – need I say more?

I love food, like everyone nowadays, but the concept of having multiple of my favourite restaurants all in one place? That sounds just a little but like heaven on earth – or rather on a plate.
