Overview
In a desire to create an authentic, organic sound, celebrated four-piece Ladi6 decided to bring their creative process out of the studio and onto the stage by introducing The Alpha Sessions back in 2015. Through live performance and improvisation the band turned these freestyle jam sessions into songs that inspired new material.
Despite undergoing invasive vocal surgery earlier this year, Ladi6 is back and stronger than ever. The third edition of The Alpha Sessions will see Ladi6 take the stage at Leigh Sawmill Café across two nights in all their electric, soulful wonder, as they deconstruct, recreate and improvise new material in what the band hopes to be the basis of a brand new album in 2018.
Supporting the band is an incredible local lineup with roots and reggae extraordinaire SilvaMC, rising hiphop star JessB and the ever brilliant Bailey Wiley. What better way to spend your Labour weekend?
