After two years of writing and recording, Auckland musician Andrew Keoghan is primed to preview his second album.
With his 2011 debut, Arctic Tales Divide, Keoghan experimented with a loop pedal to layer vocals, guitar and violin, creating a unique mixture of whimsical pop and folk. The album was shortlisted for the 2012 Taite Music Prize and named Top Local Album by the New Zealand Herald.
Relocating to New York in 2013 he began to work on his follow up. Every Orchid Offering is a collection of ten songs that seek to make sense of his existence between the US and New Zealand, combining a pop sensibility with R&B, electronic and orchestral elements.
Before the album hits store shelves later in the year Keoghan will preview it in full accompanied by a band of all-star session musicians: Jol Mulholland, Alistair Deverick and Jonathan Pearce.
Special guests include: Hollie Fullbrook (aka Tiny Ruins), Princess Chelsea and Chelsea Jade.
