Arcadia: Drag Divas Takeover at St Kevin's Arcade

New Zealand's drag king Hugo Grrrl and Metro top 50 restaurant Gemmayze St are joining forces to bring you Arcadia, a night filled with fabulous food and awe-inducing drag. From 6.30pm on Sunday, September 17, all-round drag powerhouse Grrrl will be joined by the talented Pinkie Promise and RuPaul's Drag Race star Rita Menu for a dazzling high-energy performance at St Kevin's Arcade.

Grrrl is a defining figure in the drag industry due to being the first trans man on Kiwi drag reality show House of Drag, which he went on to win. This achievement saw Grrrl soar to drag stardom, then touring two successful comedy drag shows: Naked Girls Reading and The Pun Battle.

To match this all-singing, all-dancing class act, the culinary wizards behind Lebanese restaurant Gemmayze St will be serving up a four-course meal fit for queens. The Karangahape Road establishment, helmed by chef Samir Allen, will be sticking to its signature dishes but customising its food lineup for the night.

Attendees will be served a menu filled with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, falafel, hummus and more, plus a glass of bubbles on arrival to get the party started.
