My top pick is K Road to Newmarket—K Road is home to some of Auckland's best art galleries and artist run spaces. It's the place to go to see emerging artists and experimental artwork that's testing the boundaries and shaping the future of Auckland's contemporary art scene. The Newmarket run has a stronger focus on dealer galleries and therefore a more conservative approach to art.
