If your walls are looking a little bare or if you like to keep abreast of the latest trends in contemporary art across the Pacific, look no further than the Auckland Art Fair 2019.
From Wednesday 1 and Sunday 5 May, The Cloud on Auckland's Queen Wharf will play host to more than 45 leading contemporary galleries celebrating emerging and established artists working across mediums. There will also be the opportunity to view pieces created especially for the Fair, as well as The Project program. Often, this aspect of the Auckland Art Fair is an open call for emerging artists to submit their work. The result is a fascinating insight into the cutting edge of contemporary art, indicative of the present and future of Pacific art.
While a full list of exhibiting galleries and artists are yet to be announced and tickets going on sale in March, there is still plenty to be kept up to date with. Make sure you sign up to the Auckland Art Fair mailing list to be the first in the know.
