Overview

Ever fancied yourself as a photographer? Or are you simply just interested in the art? Well, The Auckland Festival of Photography is back for its 14th year next month and this time the renowned event is exploring the theme of identity.

The contemporary art and cultural event takes over Auckland city for the month of June, bringing together a variety of talented photographers, curators and professionals. Don't worry if you're a newbie, students and amateur photographers are also welcome as the aim is to encourage the public to celebrate the art form.

The festival represents cultural diversity through photographic exhibitions, featuring work from Cambodia, Canada, Bangladesh, India and New Zealand. The program includes a mix of emerging and established artists and will take place within Auckland's major galleries, project-spaces and public sites.

So, if you're wanting to get behind the lens, make sure to snap up this eye-capturing free opportunity.
