Overview

You'll find the world on your doorstep at the Auckland International Culture Festival. Experience and celebrate our colourful cosmopolitan community with a host of food, music, dance, crafts and sports from all corners of the globe.

The eclectic programme of entertainment and range of goods on offer is impressive - where else can you see Serbian belly dancers followed by a Caribbean steel drum band? There's also Indonesian shadow puppetry, Latin American music, African cultural dances and Taiko drummers to boot.

Your taste buds will be tingling with European, Asian and African delights. There are all kinds of tasty treats, from Ethiopian coffee to crepes, waffles to paella, schnitzel to pizza and everything in between. Work up an appetite (or work off that waffle) at the sports arena where you can join in on a game of rugby or softball, try tae-kwan do or take part in the infamous annual football tournament.

Established more than 20 years ago, the festival has become a great way for refugees and migrants to make themselves feel at home, while proudly displaying the cultural variety they bring to our city.
