Auckland Latin Fiesta

Overview

The sights, sounds and colours of Latin America are coming to Aotea Square from 16–18 April as part of Auckland Latin Fiesta.

All weekend long the festival brings samba, mariachi, flamenco and forro into the spotlight. Across two stages and the Terrace Cafe you'll catch traditional performances showcasing Colombia, Peru and Chile, as well as bachata and salsa lessons and dance-along Zumba classes. The live entertainment will move between 15-piece bands to electrifying samba parades, Brazilian forro acts and Latin DJs.

For those interested in putting their romance languages to use or learning some new Spanish or Portuguese phrases, there are two conversational speaker meet-ups across the weekend. A market will also be hawking traditional foods from the continent.
