Before kicking off with stellar events like Experimental Dance Week and Auckland Fringe Festival, Auckland's home of emerging theatre makers is flinging open its doors to embrace 2019 — and you're invited.

Over three carefully curated hours, Basement Theatre is hosting a raft of established and emerging New Zealand artists guaranteed to fill dance floors and hearts with positive vibes this summer.

Dara will kick the evening off at 8pm with a scintillating selection of soul, funk and disco. Dance-party-in-human-form Disasteradio will be up next. Winging his way from Wellington, his delicious synth pop sounds are a favourite amongst the hipper escheons of the Auckland party scene – make sure you check him out to find out why. Finally Sam Harmony will hit the decks to round off the night. As one half of Friendly Potential – one of New Zealand's best dance party promoters, it's fair to say Sam is something of an expert at keeping energy levels high well into the wee hours. Music curated by Moral Support.
