Overview

Ōtautahi cassette label Melted Ice Cream is turning its hand to a streaming-only music festival. Better Living, Everyone will be the label's fifth festival, which, in the past has brought acts from all around into its Christchurch base.

This year's festival is curated by Ben Woods, as he rides in on the back of the success of his debut long-player, Put. The set-up will be an at-home situation, with artists going live from their own Instagram accounts in their allotted time slots. To save you from jumping between URLS, the team at Melted Ice Cream will capture the streams in real time and roll the whole thing as one on their website.

The lineup includes country crooner Marlon Williams, indie pop songwriter Lawrence Arabia, Los Angeles-based soloist Emily Edrosa, and members of Womb, Best Bets, and Soaked Oats. The festival will be streaming from 4.30pm NZT until late on 17 and 18 April.
