Celebrate what we like to call Friday-Eve — otherwise known as 'Thursday' — with a new weekly music-and-booze series coming to Hoppers Garden Bar this month.

Putting to bed the idea that you can only have fun on the weekend, the slide into the end of the week is about to get a whole lot better thanks to the Ponsonby bar's Big Thursday sessions. Tunes will be provided by a rotating lineup of DJs, each accompanied by a saxophone or a violinist from 8pm until late.

While you're grooving to live music from the likes of Sam Lovli, Andy Vann, Hamish Croker and more, you'll be sipping from a curated bespoke gin cocktail menu only available on Thursdays. Find updates on that week's musician lineup on Hoppers' Facebook page.
