It's not long now until the NZ International Comedy Festival hits town again. In anticipation the team behind the event are are putting on one hell of a comedy show to introduce you to this year's Billy T Award nominees.
The new talent will be introduced by old boy Steve Wrigley (2008 Billy T winner) and headlined by last year's winner Guy Williams. Check out the show and be the first to see what the new generation of comedy talent are offering up.
The 2013 Billy T Nominees and stars of the show pictured above are [left to right]:
PAX – Some call him PAX, others call him the Middle Eastern Dr Phil, but you can call him the Grand Poobah of Funny.
JOSEPH MOORE – brings his semi-musical, semi-nervous, fully skux comedy to the stage for a sampler from his upcoming Comedy Festival show Dope Ass Jokes.
ROSE MATAFEO– (U Live), in her own words will be "hopefully funny and entertaining". She will entertain in a variety of ways that could include: jokes, songs, sketch, mime, magic, animal tricks, dance, roller skating, cats, political satire, funny faces, hat comedy and impressions.
TOM FURNISS - Winner of the V48HOURS in 2011 for Grand Cheval’s Fad Film The Child Jumpers and star of Fanfiction Comedy.
ELI MATTHEWSON – A nominee for Best Newcomer at last year’s Comedy Festival, Eli also won Best Comedy at the Auckland Fringe in 2011 and starred at Edinburgh Fringe.
