This talismanic individual has been the embodiment of soul music for the past 50 years and has collaborated with a long list of rock n roll icons. Hes played guitar on a number sessions for legendary artists such as Elvis Presly, Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin. Hes most famously known for helping a struggling R&B London band deliver there first hit song way back in 1975. That band - The Rolling Stones - have now gone on to become arguably the greatest rock n roll band of all time.
After a 20 year hiatus, the he returned to feature on the ground-breaking Gorillaz Plastic Beach album. The album's stand-out single, 'Stylo', is lead by Womacks distinctive vocals. Damon Albarn has returned the favour by co-producing Womacks much edgier electronica album, the Bravest Man Alive.
