Overview

Briefs Factory International is bringing its high-energy and glitzy "boy-lesque" show back to Aotearoa just in time for the silly season. From Thursday, November 16–Saturday, December 9, the talented Australian troupe will unload its Dirty Laundry at Auckland's Q Theatre, following a successful world tour in the likes of Canada and Europe.

Dirty Laundry is more than just a show. It's a night of drag, comedy, dance and the odd bit of audience interaction, if you're feeling game. Before you write this off as fluffy entertainment, there are serious-ish elements to each performance too, with the cast using the show to talk about what ever might be in the zeitgeist in that current moment — whether it be a political hot take or commentary on a societal movement.

Led by the New Zealand-born Fez Faanana (otherwise known as Shivannah), Briefs Factory International isn't just bringing the Dirty Laundry performance to the Q Theatre — the creative collective is going to wine and dine you, too, in a private underground space appropriately named The Laundromat. The pre-show area fits around 30–50 people, with special drinks and nibbles packages available.

Dirty Laundry is just one of many that Briefs Factory International is behind, with ten years of successful sellout tours such as Club Briefs, The Second Coming and Brat Kids Carnival to its name.
