Overview

Six of Newmarket's finest fashion boutiques combine with as many talented local artists to bring you the Champagne Brunch Arts Trail. The trail kicks off at Andrea Moore, where you'll have the chance to meet Pamela Wolfe as you admire her stunning paintings of floral arrangments. Following on are visits to Storm, Taylor, Nicola Waite, Muse and Tigerlily. Featured artists include Tim Ailiuua, Gretchen Albrecht and Rhianna May McCormick-Burns who will be doing a live art piece from 12-4pm Saturday. Each $150 spent in store over the weekend will go into the draw to win a personalised illustration from Rhianna May.

The Champagne Brunch Arts Trail is just one of the many art events and exhibitions featured in the 2013 Newmarket Festival. See New Art at Tim Melville, or find some gems for your collection at Station Square's pop-up galleries. There's a joint exhibition by two of New Zealand’s strongest Maori women artists - Annabelle Buick and Tracey Tawhiao plus a chance to show off your own creative talents at The Drawing Club, taking place at the historic Highwic house.

Visit public sculptures and see new art installations created especially for the festival with a Walk of Art or get amongst it on Art Sunday—a one-off programme of special installations, projects, outdoor performances and one day gallery events throughout the precinct – all served up with great coffee and fine wine.

The Newmarket Festival also includes fashion events, tastings, talks, competitions and a wealth of special offers. Events take place at various venues throughout Newmarket and tickets are free with any purchase from participating stores.
