Overview
For the seven young women in this show, the stage is a cross between a boxing ring and a soapbox. Chance to Ignite is Massive Company's latest addition to the contemporary theatre scene, and features jujitzu, boxing, a heap of 'tude and stories that are raw with honesty.
Massive Company are known for creating works of physical theatre that are emotionally charged, and this production is no different. With an age range of 16 to 25 years old, the show's cast is made up of members of Massive's Nui Ensemble. Under the guidance of director Scotty Cotter and assistant director Tuyet Nguyen, these young women have devised a show that is an example of brave storytelling and will spark something within many. Chance to Ignite is on at Q Theatre in the last week of July. Ticket prices are varied, allowing audience members to pay what they are able to afford, and the Thursday night's show is koha with no booking required.
