It's that time of year again and no matter how much we told ourselves that things would be different next year, December seemingly always catches us out with its prompt arrival.

Whether you're yet to start festive preparations or you're on the other side of the spectrum and found yourself in full swing, we're here to let you know the place to be this Christmas.

With a plethora of food truck offerings, live music and entertainment, Auckland's Silo Park is back and better than ever. Housed in-between the towering industrial silos of Silo Park are three days of Christmas festivities welcoming in city dwellers and the likes to indulge in international cuisines, artisan wine to the tune of local talent strumming along in the background.

Silo Cinema will be playing on Friday night at 9pm. As per usual, the movie was chosen by public vote via the Silo Park Facebook page — Love Actually beat out It's a Wonderful Life, Gremlins and Home Alone to take out this year's festive screening. Also recommended is a visit on Saturday or Sunday to really immerse yourself in the spirit of things with a special guest appearance from Santa.
