Christmas at Silo Park

The balmy evenings of December have arrived and lucky for you, we know where they're best spent: under a cascade of fairy lights is Auckland's Silo Park playing host to four days of Christmas celebrations.

Al fresco wining and dining awaits courtesy of the onsite bar and collective of food trucks, and attendees will enjoy piñata making workshops, face painting, old fashioned games, DJs and live entertainment from the Auckland Gospel Choir.

Friday makes for a noteworthy date as it's the opening of the Silo Cinema. The screening is people's choice and you can have your say over on the Silo Facebook page. Choose the one that's going to get you into the Christmas spirt between Love Actually, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street or Scrooged.

Additionally, for the first time, Silo Park is hosting a Piñata Party in support of Auckland City Mission. Get amongst this madness on Sunday — it'll be great fun for the kids and it's only a gold coin donation.

We think you'll find it hard to beat afternoons at Silo Park. There really is no better place to rewind than in-between the silos this December.
