Overview
In 2008, Crystal Castles' exploded on the international indie scene, with their unique and emotive brand of electro-punk. Their self-titled album was a breath of fresh air, tinged with heavy synths, lo-fi melancholy and the eerie voice of then lead singer Alice Glass.
Glass sadly left the band in 2014 to embark on a solo career, prompting a lengthy hiatus. Fast forward to present day and the other half behind the music, Ethan Kath, has worked his magic on four albums, received world praise for his electric live shows, winning hundreds of thousands of fans in the process. Fans thanked the synth-gods in 2016 when Kath hired new lead singer, Edith Frances, and released Crystal Castles' fourth album, Amnesty (1). It's the group's most ambitious work yet, combining white hot synths, and warped bass lines to take you somewhere you've never been before.
