Day of the Dead: Food Truck Fiesta

Overview

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a vibrant Central American holiday that honours those who have passed. Spotlighting the mouthwatering food that comes in company with the annual festivities, Parnell's French market is putting a Latin spin on its next food truck gathering.

On Wednesday, 31 October between 5-9pm, members of the Auckland Food Truck Collective will pull up their handbrake at La Cigale to offer Mexican-inspired street food. Vendors confirmed for the event include Mt Albert taqueria Taco Loco, European chippery Double Dutch Fries, vegetarian tamale stand Las Masitas, plus Olas Latin Food, Empanadas Sabores, Vege Bang Bang and Lalele Organic Gelato.

Tailored for the whole family, there will also be face painting for those wanting to look the part and a licensed bar.
