Overview

There's no shortage of ways to practise yoga; from restorative vinyasa to the sweaty hot variety and upside-down acrobatics. There's now an event where you can perform downward dog with actual dogs.

In partnership with Henderson Animal Shelter, Om Doga is hosting a day of doggo fun. Attendees are invited to bring their four-legged friend along to an outdoor yin yoga class at the shelter. Those who don't have a dog can nourish their mind, body and soul and enjoy doga with the shelter dogs up for adoption.

No yoga experience is necessary, and all well-socialised, fully vaccinated dogs on-lead are welcome.
The $15 ticket price includes off-leash dog play, the 45-minute doga class, interaction with shelter dogs and tea and coffee. All proceeds will go to A.R.A.N. (Animal Rescue Action Network), working to bring attention to the plight of dogs in council shelters in New Zealand.

BYO yoga mat, water and poo bags.
