It's already performed the music of Robert Zemeckis's time travel trilogy and a 90s Christmas classic. Now, as part of Auckland Arts Festival 2021, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra is set to tackle John Williams' Academy Award-winning score from E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

Director Steven Spielberg's heartwarming masterpiece will hit the big screen at Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on Saturday, 13 March as the full orchestra plays every single note in real time. It's the first time the film and concert experience is being presented in New Zealand.

If you've being living on another planet, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial follows the moving story of a lost little alien who befriends a ten-year-old boy. Experience all the mystery and fun of their unforgettable adventure in the beloved movie that captivated audiences around the world, complete with the live orchestral performance.
