Try gourmet dishes for $7 a pop.

Overview

The recently revamped Federal Streer is home to some of Auckland’s best restaurants – Federal Delicatessen, Depot, Masu, Gusto at the Grand, The Grill by Sean Connolly, Bellota and the Sugar Club. It’s always stressful choosing where you want to eat along this little strip, which is why the festival is a stroke of genius: each restaurant’s head chef will take his signature dish to the streets, and, at the bargain price of $7 a pop, you can afford to try everything. The first 2000 guests will be treated to two tasting plates for free, so knock off work an hour or so early and roll on up.

While the food’s the star of the show, pop-up bars and live entertainment will also feature, making this self-proclaimed “foodie street” the perfect – and most delicious – way to start your weekend.

The festival will run from 4:30pm until 10pm.
