Overview
The Imperial Russian Ballet Company is back offering a smorgasbord of ballet highlights in A Festival of Russian Ballet. Any of you who have seen this company perform before will know that awe-inspiring dancing is almost a given here.
The action is spread over three acts with The Nutcracker opening the show. Famous for Tchaikovsky’s music, it's still one of the most recognisable and enduring musical scores ever written. Next is Bolero, a striking and dramatic ballet thought of as a musical masterpiece. The final part of the performance is made up of a selection of scenes from some of the world’s most popular ballets including Giselle, Carmen, The Dying Swan and Le Corsaire among others.
