First Thursdays Fiesta is adding extra spice to the nightlife on K Road with a summertime Mexican-inspired carnival of creativity. Fiesta K Road is a smorgasbord of local talent spread across multiple venues around K Road, offering a choice selection of art, craft, performances and plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Step back in time and take a piece of history from the magical vending machine as St Kevins Arcade is transformed into a vintage hot spot. Have yourself a vintage makeover, style yourself a Frida Kahlo head dress or catch a snippet of burlesque while you shop. Make sure you take time to stop and smell the roses which you'll find in a secret garden beneath the arcade.

Browse the galleries while they're open late or hit Cross St Arcade for a spot of Christmas shopping at the local craft market. Watch a live street art demo from Wert 159 then have your essence captured by one of the roving portrait artists. Inspire your senses and experience virtual landscapes in the Ironbank courtyard and La Gonda Arcade.

For those that want to get involved, you can unleash your creativity on the Collaboration contraption and bike deco at the Biz Dojo, or challenge someone to a match in the pop-up games arcade. If you're really game, book yourself a seat at the Gather and Hunt Speed Dating at the Bread and Butter Letter.

The First Thursdays Fiesta marks the beginning of K Road Highlights; 10 days of transforming iconic K Road facades into canvases for a captivating illuminated experience. And to top it all off, K Road Highlights culminates with a Christmas Fiesta on December 14 making sure our stockings are all full of creative goodness.
