Overview

First Thursdays is a celebration of creativity, bringing K Road alive with arts and craft, design, fashion and live music. For the May edition First Thursdays have joined forces with bStreet and All Fresco to bring you a four day festival that's bigger and better than ever before.

First Thursdays is all about the community, providing a platform for emerging artists of all kinds to meet, collaborate and share their wares. You can expect to find markets with quality hand-made and locally produced goods from our most innovative crafters, artist and designers. Art galleries in the area will be open late, plus there are pop-up exhibitions and installations galore. There's also live painting and street portraits, performances from local musicians and DJs to take care of the soundtrack.

Averaging 7,000 attendees and with over 30 events across just as many venues, a little bit of planning won't go amiss. The comprehensive programme has the details of all the events from Thursday through Sunday so you can suss out what you want to see and where you need to be.
