Overview

Continuing from last year's Act Of Disruption, the Get Loud Music Series is a Converse initiative aiming to keep alive the brand's commitment in supporting local music scenes, delivering newfangled experiences to music fans.

The intiative is inspired by Converse's seasonal brand expression, "Shoes Turn It Down, Sneaker's Get Loud", with the latest series celebrating the 'rebellious and gloriously chaotic spirit of rock 'n' roll.'

Kody Nielson and Raw Nerves are fronting the New Zealand leg of the series. Nielson is a founding member of experimental band The Mint Chicks, as well as his solo project, Opossom. He has recently released an eclectic, instrumental mini album consisting of six tracks titled 'Devil', listenable here. Raw Nerves are a four-piece band based in Auckland. Their sound is self-proclaimed 'garage, punk, emotional tough-guy music'. The group's EP, 'Sunburn' is available on their Bandcamp page.

Tickets and alcohol are free, as long as you had RSVP'd. The venue has just been announced at the Orange Coronation Hall in Eden Terrace.
