When we think winter markets, we imagine London at Christmas with an abundance of spiced mulled wine, roaring fires and quirky bric-a-brac. In Auckland, we have our own winter wonderland right in the heart of Ponsonby. Pop into Golden Dawn for their night market to experience the full midwinter Christmas cheer.

Cosy up with a blanket, a glass of the bar's infamous mulled wine and hearty meal, or explore the offerings of second hand books, clothing, handmade jewellery and records. Our young friends (under 18s) are even invited if accompanied by an adult. The night will also feature an epic Twin Peaks soundtrack spun by resident DJs Bart & Arnold who will set the groove until the wee hours. It's the place to be this Thursday, and a nice midweek outing for the whole family.
