Overview
Off the back of a set at Groovin at the Moo, mysterious dance producer Golden Features will touch down in Auckland for a one-off show. It will be his second appearance in New Zealand after playing two dates last December.
Shrouded by a feature-less golden mask, the beatmaker burst onto the global dance scene via word of mouth and with praise like "overnight sensation" and "the next big thing in Australian dance music". It was his Pilerats EP that cemented his arrival with triple j host Lewi Mckirdy playing all four-tracks on his lunchtime show. The released was recognised for its wall of sound, raking in one million plays in six months. With his popularity steadily spiralling out of control - and perhaps because wearing a respiratory system-clogging mask was a bad idea in the first place - Golden Features decided to reveal himself in 2014 as Sydney musician Tom Snell.
Golden Features' forthcoming show will include local support from Dan Aux, Lee Matthews, Gentz and Kaydn Webster.
