A sexy, silly and sometimes nude celebration of cabaret and fashion is coming to the Q Theatre, set to bring new meaning to the term 'slave to fashion'.

The visually stunning show Haus of Yolo, created by circus performer and actor Eve Gordon, debuted at Splore last year before showing at the Right Royal Cabaret Festival in Taranaki.

Now it's coming to the Q Theatre to entertain Auckland audiences, combining speed-sewing and circus in a four-day run from Wednesday, February 2.

The show sees fashion designers 'Welt Couture' and 'The Sexy Love Puppets' (some creative licence has clearly been exercised) take audiences into the underground inner sanctum of a fashion label, where they're creating a new clothing line.

Dubbed "an exhilarating experiment in circus and rapid-fire on-stage costuming making", circus performers will be making a fashion collection right before the audience's eyes — creating garments live with no patterns, measurements, or pins.

The "pseudo choreographed chaos-orgy" of the sewing room has been choreographed and produced by Gordon, who has worked as a circus performer, actor, filmmaker and costume creator for 15 years.

Tickets start at $35, with shows running daily from Wednesday, February 2 until Saturday, February 5.
