Overview

On his first visit to this neck of the woods, Kiwi audiences played guinea pig to the trial runs of a brand new show that a relatively unheralded James Acaster planned to then take offshore.

He was not unheralded for long.

The New Zealand Herald called him the "the 'who-was-that?' hit of the night". He went on to sell out his run at The Classic Comedy club adding an extra show due to public demand, and his success has only grown from there, reaching international acclaim for his “beautifully constructed 'art of stand-up' stuff" (Sunday Times UK).

The ‘sold out’ success of the 2013 and 2014 New Zealand International Comedy Festival, nominee for ‘Best Show’ in the 2012 and 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and the man dubbed “one of the sharpest comic minds to have emerged in recent years” by the Guardian, this lightning quick comic is back on New Zealand’s shores to deliver yet another performance.
